I promise

So I promised the other day to my pals, StepOnMe and Merkin, that I would finish that stupid black sweater by last night - yeah, that didn't happen. I WILL finish it by Sunday, though. I just will.

There - it's in writing.

I'm off to drive to one of my least favorite places for a work meeting all day. Ick.

RED RAZR!!!!!!!!!!!!

So my company is having this HUGE United Way Campaign in October. Also, we just had a HUGE product launch with the Motorazr V3m phone for Bono's Project Red to support AIDS treatments in Africa.

So you're wondering why I'm even talking about this, I sure. Well, Project Red donated 10 of the SUPER FUN phones to our United Way auction, and......I WON ONE!!!!!!! I am SO SO SO SO excited! Isn't it purty???

StepOnMe Merkin

So yesterday was a pretty bad day - I was feeling pretty down and out. I had plans to meet up with two of my favorite pals, and had planned on calling them to cancel. I'm glad I didn't. They're the greatest pals out there - and it was some well needed therapy!

I originally met StepOnMe at my last company. She initially was my boss - but then I moved up to be 'co-boss' with her. It was a pretty el yuck-o company - thank God we're out of there!

I met Merkin through StepOnMe (StepOnMe hired Merkin to work with us). As I got to know Merkin, we learned that we're pretty much identical in MANY MANY ways (each of these discoveries has been pretty frightening) - and we do share a brain (which only really works out for one of us each day as the other is left without!!)

I'm not really one to post 'sappy' stuff, but I think this stuff needs to be said. They're both such wonderful friends, and I honestly don't know what I'd do without them! Thanks for being there last night (and always), ladies - it really helped.

Next Project???

Ok, so I need some serious advice on this one. I'm THIIIIIIIIIINKING I like this sweater, so I think I'm going to make this my next big project. Does it look grandma? Does it look, how you say, "el frumpo"? Give me your honest opinions - (I know that goes without saying for those crazy Wysocki ladies!)

Incredidork

So this might be one of the worst pictures ever taken of me. It makes my nose and my chin look SUPER pointy. That's not embarassing at all...

'Someone' took this picture while 'he' was 'trying' my 'phone' at the store the other night.....hmm....

Great day - so far!!

Today has been a FANTASTIC day so far! I had a really good jumping lesson today with Harry. After that, I got to work and I got a NEW DESK CHAIR!!!!!!!!!!! :-D The old one was - well it was gross. There were some stains of undetermined origin...that concerned me.

ALSO, I got a really super awesome email today from someone that I hadn't expected to hear from - so fun!

Anyway - as far as knitting goes - I am about 1/4 of the way through the first of two (duh) sleeves for my sweater. Almost done....

Very disappointed.....

Well, I grafted the top of my Lace Leaf Sweater to the bottom tonight - and I am VERY disappointed. I do NOT Like the way this sweater looks, so far...and I am not really that motivated to finish it because I am not happy with what it looks like. This is some of my BEST knitting - very uniform, no mistakes, etc, etc...and it looks like poo.

I'm putting a picture in here for proof that I've gotten this far. All I have to do now is make the sleeves and sew them on - which I plan to do, but I am pretty sad. I was really hoping to like it more... Oh, I also have to adjust the tension on the Kitchner stitch...but that's easy. I'm too bummed to do it tonight. :-(

Harry's takin over!!

Well, Brooke's at work all day...and I noticed that she hadn't posted in a little while...so I'm taking her blog over for the night!

Scare-Fest 2006

Well, it wasn't so scary - and we didn't get much shopping done (thank God we have better taste than that!!)....but it was a good time.

It all started by getting the CLOSEST parking spot there was. We were really lucky to have been at the EXACT right place at just the right time. We really are some lucky ladies! Then they forgot me at Starbucks - probably because someone flooded the men's bathroom, but I don't know.

After all of that, we decided to walk through the craft fair first - to spend all of our money in our hot little hands.....well - we sure tried to find SOMETHING we would even consider buying...but alas - we could not. SO MANY painted wooden signs, tacky earrings, and fleece and/or tie-dyed items. Who'da thunk it in good ol' St Charles?

Anyway, then we went back to my house and they looked through all of my yearbooks - kindergarten on up (NOT AT ALL EMBARASSING!!!!) - while I played the role techie-geek-girl and unlocked my old phone for Marie.

All in all - it was a super fun day. I went to the barn and that put a big damper on my day, but I made it home and kicked some SERIOUS booty at Monopoly!

***So looking back over this post, I see how unorganized this one is. It isn't my typical post - and for that I apologize! I'll get back into the swing of things. Maybe more pics tonight after knitting at Steph's.***

I found my blog!!!!

So I've been DYING to update ever since those crazy sisters took me out on the town for my birthday. I'm going to make sure that I update with pictures when I get home from work - but only if Steph re-links me to her blog site. Otherwise, the pictures will never been seen by the rest of you!!!!

Anyway, I haven't been able to update because I couldn't remember my blessed username on here. Geez...
